Fifty-eight local volunteers created the 2004 Friendship Days Quilt to be auctioned at Pettisville’s Community Park fund raiser. The intricate “Blooming Nine Patch” pattern was pieced by Karen Nafziger, Carolyn Snyder, Eloise Miller Yoder and marked by Cara Lou Grieser.

Once in the frame, Quilting Scheduler Phyllis Short contacted quilters from Pettisville and the surrounding area. She recorded 320 volunteer quilting hours and 600 yards of thread. The quilting process started on January 6, 2004 and finished in just six days.
