Fishing Derby at Pettisville Friendship Days

Event Day Registration starts at 8:30 Saturday morning June 26, 2021

Friendship Days Fishing Derby 2018

Travis Kruse is preparing for the eleventh Marvin Wyse Memorial Fishing Derby June 26, 2021. Our very first Fishing Derby was held in 2000 and Rainbow Trout were stocked in the park pond. In 2004 Courtney Miller switched to large catfish for the event. Fifty-five catfish were caught at that Fishing Derby and we've continued stocking "Big Cats" ever since. If you have questions about the Friendship Days Fishing Derby, please contact Travis Kruse.

Some age groups may be combined, pending the number of entries. Adults must assist anglers grade 4 and younger. No fishing license required for this event.

Fishing Derby Fees are $4 per entry for all ages

The small rural community of Pettisville is located half way between Archbold and Wauseon on Fulton Co Rd 19. Get driving directions to the Pettisville Park→ Directions by Google Maps. Note the mailing address for the Pettisville Park is Co Rd DE Wauseon 43567, so in some instances, Google Maps lists that postal address, instead of always showing the town as Pettisville.

First Time Park Visitors:

Use the PGC Grain Silos on County Rd D-E as a landmark for the park entrance. Take County Rd 18 and turn onto County Rd D-E which is also marked Dame St. The Pettisville Park Entrance is just west of the PGC Grain Silos. Click for popUp of local view.
